Caravan awning rail leaking.
It covers the stitching when the awning is out and prevents water sitting on the stitch line therefore stopping the chance of the leak.
It is set in only 10 minutes and completely cured in an hour.
Pretty yucky behind the end caps sealant is poor as well.
Therefore the stitching along the awning rail needs to be seam sealed this is usual for tents were the the fabric can t be taped sealed.
Most of the stitched seams are factory taped but not the awning rail seam.
This is a three person job to remove replace because of the length to be handled.

Sealant can be applied along the rail and then replaced using stainless screws.
Next remove the rail trim.
Now remove the rail screws.
The only downside is that in very windy conditions it does flap a bit.

Is the awning rail on the van at the correct height for the kampa air awning.
To do a proper job you would need to remove the whole rail from end to end.
Also a dry day if you are serious about doing it.
Then clean the old sealant off.
